I’m an aspiring Sports Marketer and Graphic Designer. My name is Alton Seabrook, and I’m currently a professional Graphic Designer in the US Army. I was able to acquire this job after completing the process of testing to join the military. I also had to pass basic training and advanced individual training. I hit my turning point in this career a few months ago, when I reached out to a t-shirt company in need of a Graphic Designer. This position has given me an opportunity to learn how to work on the civilian side of Graphic Design in a professional manner. I’m currently in school for Sports Marketing, the only thing holding me back from becoming a professional Sports Marketer is having my degree. I’m hoping to gain some experience while in school, so when I’m looking at a career it’s a lot easier to get hired. I worked in a Marketing office at my first duty station, so I’m familiar with creating advertisements.

As a professional, it’s critical to be honest,-and to take pride in any work you do. Having your name attached to quality work, and a good reputation will help your business grow. I believe the worst thing you can do, is have your name on a project that doesn’t fairly represent your talents. First impressions are important, and if your first impression is a bad one it may cause you to lose potential clients. My love for sports and a desire to work with a professional organization is what pushes me to finish school. On my own time I’ve created my own sports posters and Nike ads. This is the type of work I would love to do as a marketer. I would love to have my work displayed all over the internet. It’s a great feeling to see my work displayed online now. Even though my current company is small I play a major role in the way it operates.
