Marketing and Graphic Design

Marketing and Graphic Design can tie in together perfectly. As a Marketer, having the ability to design your own products for clients can eliminate the middle man. Having the ability to design your own products, can push you ahead of other people looking for the same job position. As a graphic designer you must have an eye for design. This will help you when cards, logos, brochures, or any other products need developing. Working in a marketing office as a Graphic Designer and Marketer, can make you the go to person especially if the project is a major one. I worked in a marketing office while stationed in South Korea. During my time in the office I learned a lot about developing products that would be advertised to the public. I was able to tie in Marketing tools, and Graphic Design principles to make products with the best of my abilities. As a Graphic Designer if you are familiar with web design, that will also help you become a major key to your company’s ability to function. Graphic Designers can do more than draw a nice picture, or decorate something really nicely. Any company or organization that sales, advertises, or show cases an event will need a quality designer. If you’re able to supply both Marketing and Graphic Designing skills, you can become a major asset to any company. I would love to work for a company like Nike, Under Armor, ESPN, or a professional sports team. I love sports, and I would love to be a marketer for those companies. My Graphic Design abilities could make me an essential piece to any company. Gaining a degree in Marketing, and using the tools I’ve learned as a Graphic Designer in the U.S Army will make a great addition to my future employers organization.

This is a Nike poster I created that could be used as an advertisement. I entitled it “The Final Bout”, because this was the last match up between Kobe Bryant, and Lebron James. Kobe is set to retire after this season, and both athletes are signed with Nike.
