The USC Aiken baseball team has many advertisements around their field, most are local businesses in the area. These banners could result in the school making a few extra dollars per year to hang to advertisements up. It gives the college a chance to also have their games or events sponsored by these companies too. Some businesses hold events and donate proceeds to the college this could go towards the school programs for new uniforms, field or gym maintenance etc. One sign is Sub Station 2 in Aiken. This is a popular local restaurant that sells subs, salads, and more. They could sponsor a sports banquet for the college, or even have an event at the college where they cater the food. Each business however; provides the University a chance to earn revenue. The university can be paid to appear in commercials for businesses, as well. These commercials can bring more fans and customers to games, especially if the business says they are running a special if you attend a certain game. My town is a small town, but everyone here seems to love when local businesses get advertised. This is an essential way to gain revenue for the university.
